Futbol Club Barcelona Thrash Eibar At Home

Futbol Club Barcelona got the Spanish League weekend football started on an interesting note after thrashing Eibar 3 – 0 at the Ipurua Municipal Stadium with all Barcelona front three getting on the score sheet.

French Striker, Antoinne Griezmman opened the scoring with an assist from fellow countryman, Lenglet after a team work from the squad to put Futbol Club Barcelona in front in the thirteenth minute of the match.

In the second half, Lionel Messi scored a delightful goal to make it 2 – 0 for the away team after an assist from Antoinne Griezmman.

After eight minutes, Uruguayan striker, Luis Suarez added the third goal after an assist from Messi.

The match marked the return of French defender, Samuel Umtiti who had gone on injury for the past three months. Also, left winger, Jordi Alba returned from his one month injury to make the starting line up.

Gerard Pique did not play in today’s match as the coach, Ernesto Valverde preferred an Umtiti and Lenglet combination at the back.

It is also worthy of note that today’s match marks the first time that Messi, Suarez and Griezzmman will all score in the same match.

The much anticipated El-Classico which was supposed to come up between Barcelona and Real Madrid next weekend has been shifted to December by the La Liga FA.
