Football Club of Barcelona has gone to the top of the La Liga stadings tonight for the first time since the league started after arch rival, Real Madrid lost away to Real Mallorca.
Real Mallorca surprisingly beat Real Madrid 1 -0 at the Estadi de Son Moix, which sees Barcelona goes top of the league.
Mallorca found the back of the net in the 7th minute with a goal from striker, Lago Junior.
Real Madrid defender, Alvaro Adriozola was given two yellow cards in the match which led to his red card and the Spanish giants played with only 10 men from the 74th minute.
The loss sees Madrid slip to second on the standing with Barcelona who already won 3 – 0 away from home against Eibar climbing to the top.
Atletico Madrid and Valencia both played out a 1-1 draw at the Wanda Metropolitiano.
Getafe defeated Leganes by 2 – 0. Other matches in the league will be played tomorrow.
