Chelsea football club are in the chase to sign Barcelona want away winger, Phillipe Coutinho in the summer which will see the player return to the English Premier League after 2 years of absence.
Heavy reports are indicating that Chelsea are leading the chase for the Brazilian winger and are in poll position to sign the player for a yet to be disclosed fee.
The 27 year old player is presently on loan at Bayern Munich from Barcelona where he has played 22 games, scoring 8 goals and providing 7 assists in the process.
However, the German giants seems not ready to sign the player on a permanent deal as the player’s wages are too expensive for the club to meet up and indications show that the player might return to Barcelona in the summer.
This development has caught the attention of Chelsea who will like to engage the service of the player for next season and will be looking forward to seeing the player repeat his impressive Liverpool form where he scored 41 goals along with 35 assists in 152 games.
Coutinho became the highest Barcelona signing in history when he signed from Liverpool in 2018 for a record 145m Pounds. In his first and only season under former Barca coach, Ernesto Valverde, the player failed to impress, which saw the club loaning him to Bayern the following season.
