Spanish Giants and champions, Barcelona has been reported to be the number one club in the world with the most lucrative shirt sponsorship deal in football history.
According to popular news website, Daily Mail, it reported that Barcelona who has a shirt sponsorship deal with Chinese company, Rakuten has the highest earning in shirt deals.
The Catalan club who top the list of the highest earning shirt deals signed a ten years deal with Rakuten in 2018, which will come to an end in 2028. The per season sponsorship deal is worth £100m and in 10 years, £1bn.
Real Madrid is 2nd on the list after also signing a 10 year deal with Fly Emirate in 2015, with £98m per season earning. Liverpool is 3rd with £80m per year shirt sponsorship deal with Standard Chartered.
Manchester United is the 4th highest earning club from shirt sponsorship with yearly income of £75m from Chevrolet. The 5th position is occupied by Manchester City who is sponsored by Etihad Airways with yearly gross in of £65m.
Arsenal is 6th with £60m yearly income from her sponsorship deal with Fly Emirate, while Chelsea earns a yearly shirt deal of £60m just like Arsenal but with Samsung.
Italian Giants, Juventus earn £46m in a deal with Jeep, while Bayern Munich earns £42.5m yearly.
Recall that Barcelona recently sacked head coach, Ernesto Valverde and appointed former Real Betis coach, Quique Setien.
Recently, popular accounting firm, Deloitte released a list of the richest top 10 teams in the world for the 2018/2019 season, Barcelona for the first time in history topped the list, with league rivals, Real Madrid coming 2nd and English giants, Manchester United coming 3rd.
