Barcelona Futbol Club youngsters step up in a surprising win at the San Siro against Inter Milan, with big players like Messi and Pique, Arthur, Stegen, Busquet and others missing out completely as Fc Barcelona fielded a
team comprised mostly of young, promising players which also saw 16 years old Ansu Fati become the youngest player to score a Champions League goal in the history of the competition.

Barcelona XI (3-5-2): Neto; Jean-Clair Todibo, Samuel Umtiti, Clement Lenglet; Moussa Wague, Arturo
Vidal, Carles Alena, Ivan Rakitic, Junior Firpo; Carles Perez, Antoine Griezmann.

Inter XI (3-5-2): Samir Handanovic; Diego Godin, Stefan de Vrij, Milan Skriniar; Danilo D'Ambrosio,
Matias Vecino, Marcelo Brozovic, Borja Valero, Cristiano Biraghi; Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez.

The match started in frantic pace with Milan needing a must win to qualify from the group, Barcelona
meanwhile, have been guarantee the top spot. In the early minutes, Lukaku had the ball in the back of the
net but it was correctly ruled out for offside.

Barcelona opened the scoring when Carles Pérez slotted in the ball following great work from midfield, it was his first ever Champions League goal for Barcelona just 23 minutes into his debut in the competition. The lead didn’t last though, just at the stroke of halftime, Inter Milan were rewarded for their persistency when Lukaku scored from Martinez’ lay up, leveling the score.

The second half saw Barcelona maintain possession, but Inter Milan were more direct and piled up the
pressure, Greizzman’s effort was well saved by Handanovic while at the other end, Lukaku came close but
was denied by Neto who probably got a tutorial or two from Ter Stegen.

Martinez’ goal in the 74 minute was ruled out for offside before Luis Suarez and Ansu Fati were later introduced into the game and with the right substitution, they combined with devastating effect as Fati finished clinically to score his first goal in the champions league.

Fati who just signed a new contract with Barcelona last week became the youngest player in the history of the competition at the age of 17 years and 40 days as he recently celebrated his birthday.

The win means Inter Milan drop to the Europa league while Barcelona and Dortmund qualify to the next round with Slavia Prague finishing bottom. And so it ended Inter Milan 1-2 Fc Barcelona.
