Barcelona striker, Antoinne Griezmann has picked up a quadriceps injury over the weekend and reports say that the medical team does not know when he will return to the field of play.
The French striker picked up the injury during a match against Real Valladolid on Saturday when the player asked to be substituted as he could no longer continue with the game.
After the match, the Catalan Club released an official statement that Griezmann sustained a muscle injury to his right leg and will keep him out for unspecified number of days.
However, the club is optimistic that the striker will be available for the Champions League where Barcelona is billed to play Italian club side, Napoli in the second leg at the Camp Nou.
Recall that the first leg ended 1 – 1 with Griezmann getting the only away goal for the Catalan side.
The match against Valladolid ended 1 – 0 in favour of Barcelona, with Arturo Vidal scoring the only goal and Lionel Messi providing the assist.
